Kenjamin Button - Kamehameha
This is another animation I was commissioned to make for small YouTuber Kenjamin Button.
It is for a video in which he talks about reveals flying character in fiction. He wanted to add value to his content with a hand-drawn animation of his avatar taking flight and performing a Kamehameha.
The process
As per usual, I started by validating a rough animation with him,
We shared many Dragon Ball Z clips, as well as some more recent from Super and Daima, to be sure to be as close as possible to the original.
He sent me a character design for his avatar, as well as many images depicting him for me to have as many references as possible.

Takeaway
I really love how this one turned out.
I tried my best to get everything to be as dynamic as possible, with intense light and energy effects, and popping colors.
It went great!

And then I went on to make the animation to the end, updating Kenjamin regularly to show the progress and make minor modifications.
